HOLDERS Alconbury were dumped out of the PFA Senior Cup after finding themselves on the receiving end of a giantkilling act.
Barry Gregory's Peugeot Premier Division men, who lifted the coveted trophy at London Road back in May, fell to a surprise 2-0 quarter-final defeat at Jaguar Division One outfit Netherton.

Paul Clark bagged both the goals as the city side advanced
to the last four along with AFC Fletton who swept aside Peterborough Sports 6-2.
And there was plenty more cracking cup action on the county front.

Warboys saw off Stilton 2-1 in an all-local semi-final of the Hunts Junior Cup thanks to goals from Mark Boucher and Daniel Bartley, while Ramsey A moved into the Hunts Lower Junior Cup showpiece after a 2-1 win at CSV United.

Coates, Whittlesey Reserves and Chatteris all enjoyed memorable wins in Cambs Cup competition – Chatteris eventually overcoming Wisbech St Mary Reserves on penalties after a 3-3 stalemate in which Jason Hennessey had hit a hat-trick.

Ketton continued the local successes by coming through a Leicestershire Saturday Shield thriller against holders Bardon Hill. They won 4-2 on penalties after the teams had been locked together at 2-2 following two hours of football in this quarter-final.

And there were mixed fortunes for our local sides in Northants. Bretton Park Rangers Reserves powered into the semi-finals of the Area Cup after a 3-2 win at Deanshanger Reserves, but Oundle's run in the competition was ended when they went down by the same scoreline at Corby Eagles.

One cup tie that didn't go the distance around here was the PFA Minor Cup quarter-final clash between Uppingham Reserves and Thorney Reserves.
With the clash delicately poised at 2-1 early in the second half, referee David White abandoned the game after picking up an injury.

Whittlesey breathed new life into the Peugeot Premier Division title race by condemning leaders Perkins to their first defeat since the opening day of the season.

James MacCallum scored the only goal as Whittlesey pulled themselves back into contention for the silverware. Perkins are now only three points clear of Moulton Harrox who smashed Uppingham 7-0.

Stamford Bels are staring at the drop after suffering a 3-0 defeat at Pinchbeck in a battle of two struggling teams. Jason Haytree, Darren Clarkson and Ben Allen got the goals.

Ramsey are hot favourites to win the Jaguar Division One title after defeating Rutland Rangers in a top-of-the-table showdown on Saturday.
Chris Talton delivered the only goal of the game as Ramsey moved a point clear of their victims with two games in hand.

Bretton Park are well and truly rooted to the bottom of this section after going down 1-0 to fellow strugglers Guyhirn – Mark Newton grabbing the decisive goal.

Eye Sports took over at the top of Vauxhall Division Two despite being held to a 3-3 home draw by lowly Benwick and there are also new leaders in Honda Division One of the Combination League.

Moulton Harrox Reserves are now in pole position following a 7-2 triumph at Ramsey Reserves, although their stay at the top is likely to be short-lived with Whittlesey Reserves one point back armed with a stash of six games in hand.
