Chatteris Town has quit the Peterborough League just days after the draft constitution for next season had been drawn up.
The club - who have until now run a first, reserve and A team in the local set-up - have been accepted into the Cambs League.

Peterborough League official Graham Phillips refused to comment on the issue.

Chatteris Fen Tigers have also moved from the Peterborough League to Cambs League for next season while the Emneth Seniors side that pulled out of the Peterborough League last season due to a shortage of players has also resurfaced in the Cambs operation.

Such is the demand for Cambs League football, a new division has been created to accommodate a bumper 204-team entry next season.
