FOUR-YEAR-OLD Ava Osker has been hailed as a "little miracle" by her proud parents after overcoming obstacles that would have left many adults struggling.
The youngster, from Thornton Close, Gunthorpe, Peterborough, was born with a hearing disability and her parents and doctors feared she would face a life without sound.

But Ava defied the odds, and with a little help from a cochlear implant when she was just 13 months old, she was able to enjoy her first day at Norwood Primary School, in Gunthorpe, Peterborough, last week.

Proud mum Zara, said: "We always knew she would talk one day, but never thought she would make it into a main- stream school.

"We are chuffed to bits. She is a little miracle."
