A last-minute penalty from Scott McGleish denied Posh a vital victory at Wycombe.
McGleish, a former Posh striker, sent Joe Lewis the wrong way from the spot after substitute Josh Low was adjudged to have fouled him.
The goals spoilt a superb second-half fightback from Posh who had trailed to a superbly struck free-kick by Stefan Oakes in the fifth minute.
George Boyd equalised with a deflected drive on 66 minutes before substitute Liam Hatch headed Posh in front six minutes from time from a Dean Keates' cross.
