AARON Mclean insists it's only a matter of time before the 'Mac Attack' start shooting Posh up the League One table.
Mclean and strike partner Craig Mackail-Smith have only scored in one of five competitive matches so far this season, a key factor behind a disappointing Posh start to the season.
But Mclean, who banged in 33 goals last term as he claimed the Golden Boot award in League Two, is confident goals and points will soon start flowing again.
He said: "There is no doubt that we are playing against far superior defenders this season, but I also have no doubts that we will soon start scoring again.
"We have been creating chances, although not that many have landed at my feet, and we have far too many good players at the club to start worrying.
"We have been unlucky in matches so far this season, but we are all still targeting promotion because it will only take one positive result to get us going.
"We're suffering because of the individual mistakes we're making and I'm sure once we start keeping clean sheets we will be winning games.
"The lads are all together in the dressing room as we know we are the people who will turn the season around."
On the surface Posh are short of firepower following the departures of Liam Hatch and Danny Crow during the August transfer window.
But Mclean believes the 'Mac Attack' plus Scott Rendell have enough goals in them to secure more success arrives at London Road.
He also hinted at a new addition to the forward line tomorrow. Mclean added: "We've done some work this week with George Boyd playing up front and to be fair he's so good he can play anywhere.
"With him and the three of us, there should be more than enough goals in the team. I have set myself a target of 20 this season and I'm sure I can get there.
"But the most important thing tomorrow is to get three points and start us on the way up the table. We're doubly-keen to win, especially after the disappointment of last weekend.."
Mclean is the sort of character who will be inspired by the television cameras. Tomorrow's match is being screened live on Sky.
Mclean said: "We're all looking forward to playing live on the television. It's an extra motivation for us and a couple of the lads are even planning to have haircuts just so they look a bit better."
