WELSH midfielder Jack Collison, who is now a regular in the West Ham first team, admits a former Posh Academy Director was the biggest influence on his career.
Collison said: "Kit Carson was the biggest influence on my career. I worked with him at Peterborough and Cambridge and he used to drive me all over the country as well as Europe.

"Without his input I wouldn't be where I am today."

Collison was one of a number of boys who moved from Posh to Cambridge with Carson. Ironically Posh came close to bringing Collison back to London Road on loan last season, but the move was scuppered when the player broke into the West Ham first team.
