'BRING on Leeds', that was the message from the cock-a-hoop Posh camp after their thrilling come-from-behind win at local rivals MK Dons on Saturday.
Posh gained revenge against the team that pipped them to the League Two title last season thanks to a penalty from top scorer Craig Mackail-Smith and a first club goal for teenage substitute Dominic Green in the final quarter of the match.

A first away win of the season propelled Posh up to 10th in the table ahead of the visit of title favourites Leeds United and their army of fans this Saturday.

Posh boss Darren Ferguson said: "It was a crucial win on Saturday because it will have given the lads lots of self-belief.

"And so it should because they delivered a very good performance against decent opposition.

"I had a good feeling about the game when I walked out on the pitch and saw the empty spaces among their fans. I expected a bigger crowd, but our fans were magnificent again.

"It was a great day and we have another one to look forward to this Saturday. Leeds are a huge club at this level and they will have tremendous support.

"Gary McAllister has a good squad and he's got them playing good football, but we proved on Saturday that we can play a bit as well.

"I had some tough decisions to make regarding team selections at MK Dons, but the lads who came in did superbly. Shaun Batt particularly pleased me making his debut on a big stage like that.

"We have some talented young players, but they also have great temperaments. Dominic Green is a another example of that – he is a real player and he was close to starting the match after training really well in the week.

"They will all certainly be excited rather than nervous about facing Leeds."

Posh have sold more than 12,500 tickets for the match against Leeds.

The capacity for the game is just under 15,000 and no tickets will be sold on the day of the match which has a noon kick-off.

Leeds sold their allocation of 4,200 within days of the tickets going on sale.

Tickets can be ordered online via www.theposhtickets.com, or by going to the Posh box office 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday or 10am-5pm on Fridays, or by calling 01733 563947.

Police have warned that any Leeds fans found in the home areas of the ground will be ejected.

Leeds warmed up for the match with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Hereford at Elland Road on Saturday, a result that kept them in third place in the League One table.

I have no problem with being the underdogs for this one. That means the pressure is off and our players can go out and enjoy themselves. Its time we had a good result in front of a big home crowd!

A big home crowd you say, seeing as Leeds will be bringing some 4500 i think it may be better that none of you turn up to see your team get beaten, it will be a nasty sight for anyone to see, best save your big crowds for teams you can beat.

on on on

Posh will get stuffed. Leeds, Leicester, Carlisle and Oldham to contest the top places. Posh need to look to avoid relegation first

Whats with the 'mighty'? They are Leeds United. The only mighty thing about them is their opinion of themselves. They're below Scunthorpe in the league. Are Billy Bremner and Alan Clarke going to play on saturday? I remember when Leeds were great, for a short time, but it was a long time ago. I remember them trying to build a team in recent years and I remember a lot of big talk then. They may win on saturday and good luck but for heavens sake stop the big mouth bragging

If winning 7 matches in a row, scoring 30 goals in 12 games, is not quite clicking then I hate to see what they will do when it does all click into place.

Lol, I know, I dont think it really has clicked for them yet, I'd fully expect a record points tally in the league if it did click!
