LEEDS manager Gary McAllister admitted his side couldn't cope with the intensity of the Posh players.
McAllister watched his side's six-game unbeaten run come to an abrupt end at London Road and offered no excuses for the result.

McAllister said: "The better team won. We know what to expect when we come to places like Peterborough, but we didn't c
ope with it at all.

"It's a big day for teams when they play Leeds and Peterborough were right up for the game. They did the ugly things really well.

"The conditions were awkward with the swirling wind, but every time there was a loose ball it seemed like we were second to it.

"We only had about four players on song today, too many of the others were passengers.

"The intensity of their players was too much for some of us.

"It was a bad day for us and I can't complain about the result, but it's how we respond that's now important."

Leeds suffered a pre-match blow when first-choice goalkeeper David Lucas was forced out of the game with a finger injury.
