I've been a season ticket holder for over 20 years. I used to stand on the old Glebe Road terrace but now I'm in Row E of the Family Stand just by the halfway line.

I'm a also a committee member for Forever Posh and run a goal competition to raise funds for the youth teams at Posh.

PRE-MATCH: I live in Whittlesey and with me helping at Forever Posh, I left with my two sons Kieran and Sean at 11.30am. I picked my mate Les up and got to the ground about noon. I went into the Posh Venue to see if my partner Marcina was there as she stewards for Posh on match days.

I had a few drinks and collected my monies for sponsord goals.

I was thinking as the pressure was off, Posh would go and play some good football just like they did at Grimsby. I was thinking maybe 4-0 or 4-1.

HALF TIME REPORT:

We made a slow start and were 1-0 down after three minutes.

Mclean had a chance but clattered the Darlington keeper, who had to be replaced and as usual the replacement keeper had a good half, saving from Mclean and Craig Mackail-Smith.

On the whole though I thought we deserved to be at least level at half-time. Still, maybe it will get better in the second half.

ATMOSPHERE

We had a good crowd of about 12,000 and the atmosphere before the game was fantastic.

During the match was a bit quiet but towards the end of the game we were all singing 'The Posh Are Going Up'. If only the crowd would sing like that every week!

FULL-TIME

I think we deserved more out of the game but Darlington took their two chances and we missed all ours. We seemed to start both halves half asleep.

My man-of-the-match was Tom Williams as he got so many good crosses in.

POST MATCH

I'm really pleased everyone stayed off the pitch so that the players could do a lap of honour.

It was great to see them presented with their runners-up medals.

Well done too to the fans and stewards and staff for making it a very enjoyable end-of-season occasion.

After the match I went to The Venue for the presentations to the players. The Forever Posh player of the season was Charlie Lee with Aaron Mclean the runner-up.

Young player of the year was Chris Whelpdale and away travel player of the year George Boyd with Mclean runner-up.

So all in all it was a very enjoyable day and for me I can't wait until the end of June for next season's fixture list to come out.
