Ferguson insists coping with the pressure of playing in front of an attendance expected to be in excess of 14,000 for the visit of League One big-guns Leeds United tomorrow (noon kick-off) won't pose a problem.
Posh sold out of tickets for the game yesterday lunchtime and excitement has gripped the city. The London Road capacity has dwindled from a peak of just over 30,000 in the 1960s to the current mark.
Ferguson said: "Everyone at the club is really looking forward to the game – especially after the fabulous victory at MK Dons last weekend.

"I couldn't believe it when I was told this is the first time we've had a sell-out for a league game, but it is great for the lads and I am sure they will cope absolutely fine in front of such a big crowd.
"Temperament is a big part of football these days and I don't have any worries on that front. We've had a lot of big games in the last 12 months so it is not something that is new to us.
"Apart from 40 minutes in the game against Tranmere, the performances have always been there this season and a good result tomorrow can be a real catalyst."
Ferguson holds Leeds boss Gary McAllister in high regard and is well aware of the dangers his side pose, but his own players will be well-drilled for the visit of the Whites.
Ferguson added: "Gary was a really good player and I have a lot of respect for him. He has changed Leeds' style of play in a big way.
"We have done a lot of work in training on ways to deal with the threat Leeds pose on and off the ball, and the lads responded very well.
"Jermaine Beckford is obviously a big danger and we know all about him, but Leeds have plenty of decent individuals who can cause teams problems.
"You wouldn't expect anything else from a team that will be right up there, but they don't have a divine right just because they are Leeds."
Central defender Gaby Zakuani has been declared fit after injury forced him out of the success at MK Dons. He is likely to keep his starting place ahead of Chris Westwood who impressed after replacing him last Saturday.
Midfielder Dean Keates and winger Sergio Torres remain sidelined.
Tickets for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash against Dagenham & Redbridge will not be available tomorrow. They can be bought again from Monday.
