What do you think? 10 reasons why Posh can beat the mighty Leeds United:

  • 1 Leeds are a big club only in terms of fan base and history.

  • 2 Posh have George Boyd, Leeds don't

  • 3 Managers called Ferguson always beat Leeds.

  • 4 There will be no pressure or expectation on Posh for a change.

  • 5 Posh won promotion last season, Leeds haven't won anything for 16 years even if it was the Division One title.

  • 6 Leeds failed to beat Bristol Rovers, seven days later Posh scored five against them.

  • 7 Everyone hates Leeds so motivation will not be an issue.

  • 8 Leeds will soon be a rugby league town, and more people will be interested in the Grand Final than a lower division football match at London Road.

  • 9 Posh have Darragh MacAnthony, Leeds have Ken Bates.

  • 10 Football League chairman Lord Brian Mawhinney is a Posh fan, his organisation deducted 15 points from Leeds last season.

Thanks for giving Leeds a good team talk, pin that up in the dressing room and it'll do the trick nicely.

I trust if necessary you will do a ten reason why Posh didn't beat Leeds after the match?

What a pathetic attempt at journalism!

I've seen 14 year-old chavs come up with better than that on local message boards!

As a 25-year Season Ticket holder at London Road, I found it a cringeworthy attempt to score points from Saturday's opponents.

I'm sure their manager will have that pinned on the dressing room wall

Does that make us look like second rate amateurs or what?

If we have serious ambition to climb the football ladder, petty jealousy expressed as in this article will do us no favours whatsoever.

1 If we're not a big club then I assume you've done stories like this for all your opponents and you've had as many of your fans turning out as they will be on Saturday?

2 No one outside your club has heard of George Boyd, Leeds have Fabian Delph, you've all heard of him

3 Managers called Ferguson always beat Leeds? just making things up now are we?

4 We're the away team, you have your biggest league crowd, the pressure's on you

5 You won promotion from league 2? wow, that's amazing, Leeds have never even been that low, last season we gave everyone a 15 point head start and still got into the play offs!

6 You scored 5 against bristol, how many did you concede? how will you do against a team that's scoring for fun?

7 Nobody likes us, enough motivation for the players of Leeds don't you think?

8 Leeds is a city, not a pathetic little town, football will always come before egg chasing, nomatter what league we're in, we have loyal supporters

9 Posh have Darragh MacAnthony, Leeds have Ken Bates, which one owns the biggest club, the best players and the highest placed team?

10 Football League chairman Lord Brian Mawhinney more than a good reason to stuff you (and your team)

Win or lose on Saturday, you've proved we're still famous and you're getting excited about this game, it's your cup final.
I'll bet you all the money in the world your fans will sing the pathetic, we've not heard it before, "you're not famous anymore", yet they are all turning out to see us, everyone in the country hates us and you're writing loads of articles about the game (more than any other team does).

What a small-time peasant you really are whoever wrote this, leeds are a small club?? so why is the game a sell out lol.. point proven, its going to be your cup final on saturday, I can't believe the jealousy and "hatred" of a club that this weekend will financially better peterborough town, how often do you get 14,000 on the gate??

whoever wrote this is a complete prat what more motivation do leeds need than idiots like the person who wrote this slagging them off and giving the impression that we have no respect for them? another thing no matter how much you or anybody else dosnt like it leeds ARE a big club still and they always will it wont be long b4 there back in the prem so if we do win on sat it will probably... no WILL be our biggest result of the season

Good luck Peterborough for the rest of the season (after sat)at least your supporters are not as thick as the writer of this article .Lets hope for a cracking game on saturday and may the best team win.

Its a sell out, so will Leicester and so will MK Dons at home, Northampton could possibly be too (though they might not sell their away allocation). This is not therefore a unique occasion. FFS there's hardly a great deal of history against Leeds Utd to make the result vitally important as opposed to the 3 afore mentioned clubs.
We played Bradford last year, they're a big club, ex-Premier league with a large following, did the result hold any baring on our season at the end of the day?
The result v Leeds on Saturday is just one of 40 odd other results, just that a few more people will be there than will see us play the likes of Bristol Rovers and Leyton Orient.

Swanny, Im surprised that you never made it to Fleet St with your imaginative style of Journalism........

You must be really struggling to fill the paper up if you are resorting to this rubbish.

So happy that you have given Leeds no ammunition whatsoever to come to London Road and try to give us a good hiding.

Prat.

here are 16 reasons whilst " the posh " will lose to the mighty whites at the weekend.

Lewis, Martin, Morgan, Zakuani (Westwood 22), Williams, Whelpdale (Green 67), Coutts, Hyde, Boyd, Mackail-Smith, Batt (Lee 90).

Subs Not Used: Tyler, Rendell.

some people are very easy to wind up!!! I sense Leeds are a trifle touchy about their current league status. Great! I'll be glad when saturday is over.
