Poets' Corner in Saturday's ET is one of our most popular features. To celebrate National Poetry day, here's a selection of some of the great poems we are sent every week:
Halloween

Witches and wizards and midnight blue sky

Black velvet hats and broomsticks that fly

Potions with snake skins, bat wings and toads

A gingerbread cottage at the end of the road

Magical mysteries and warlocks of old

Black cats, horseshoes and tall tales told

Moonbeams, starshine and a handful of spells

Black or white magic and fortunes to tell

Clouds cloak the moon, the wind softly sighs

Barn Owls watch with large saucer eyes

Halloween lanterns and will'o the wisp

Autumn leaves under foot golden and crisp

Fairies, elves and wee garden gnomes

Rickety gates and candlelight homes

Cauldrons and covens and old witches brew

A Halloween night for me and for you

Sylvia Partridge
Eyebury Road,
Eye,
near Peterborough
