Poem: After You Dicky by Rodney Dix

Poets' Corner in Saturday's ET is one of our most popular features. To celebrate National Poetry day, here's a selection of some of the great poems we are sent every week:
After You Dicky
Two people walking towards one another.
Something we all do every day.
So one will go left and one will go right
and they end up in each other's way.
Two cars in a car park slowly manoeuvre
like a spaceship trying to dock.
They're both barely moving, there's plenty of room,
but they end up having a knock.
Yet birds flock in their hundreds and thousands,
only inches apart in their flight.
They never collide . . . have they magical powers?
Or are they simply polite?
