At the heart of the Nene Park, running for 6 miles along the River Nene 10 minutes drive from Peterborough city centre, Ferry Meadows offers: waling, sailing, golf, boat trips and cafes across the 500 acre park.
There are meadows, lakes and woods, where you can enjoy pleasant walks, cycling, course fishing, bird watching and at the watersports centre dinghy and board sailing are available, or you can relax in one of the cafes and enjoy the scenery across the 500 acre park.
There are also a number of events held throughout the year such as kite flying, rowing club regatta, wildlife exploring and more. Children's play areas, miniature railway, cycle hire, nature trails, pony rides and 30 minute boat trips along the River Nene (Key Ferry Cruises: details below).
You can travel to and from there via the
Nene Valley Railway, which stops at the Meadows.
Ferry Meadows is open daily throughout the year. Vehicle access times vary, times are displayed on the barrier. The Park opens from 7am until dusk during the spring & summer and from 8.00am until sunset during the winter.

Two 18 hole 'pay and play' golf courses and pitch and putt are nearby, as is one of the Caravan Club's most popular sites.
Facilities for the disabled, including wheelchairs and batricars, are available.
