THE former chairman of Peterborough's largest housing association has been made honorary president after stepping down from his role.
Cyril Brown was elected to the ceremonial position at the annual board meeting of Cross Keys Homes, which manages 10,000 homes across the city.

Mr Brown, who is also a Cross Keys tenant and was chairman for four years, said: "I am honoured to hold this role which will enable me to continue representing the work of Cross Keys Homes."

"It has given me great pleasure to be part of Cross Keys Homes' board, and I hope I can do just as well in my new role as president."

The Cross Keys board is made up of six tenants, four councillors and five independent businessmen or women with expertise in areas such as finance and housing.
