Published Date:

Track: Abbey Stadium
Race-night: Thursday
Track length: 361m
Track record: 64.46secs - Leigh Adams, May 2004.
Team manager: Alun Rossiter
Team: Leigh Adams 10.30, Troy Batchelor 5.74, Travis McGowan 5.34, Mads Korneliussen 5.18, James Wright 4.73, Sebastian Alden 3.84, Theo Pijper 3.70. Total: 38.83. Number eight: Cory Gathercole.

One to watch: James Wright - surprise switch to a track where he won the Premier League Riders' Championship could lead to a good season.

Assessment: The mercurial Leigh Adams is widely recognised as the greatest rider never to win the world title. He is the shining light of Swindon, but not even Charles Atlas could carry the rest of this motley speedway crew.

Plummer's prediction: 8th
