Anna left proud of tough walk up Snowdon

Anna Lefley from Pondersbridge, near Whittlesey, and mum Nina have raised over £1,300 for the Stroke Association after a six hour walk.

Anna admitted she was nervous doing the walk and worried she might fall off the mountain. She said: “It was tough but it became easier as we went along.

“I walked with a group of eight people so there were lots of people to talk to, it was fun.

“I’m proud of myself because it was a big challenge and my friends couldn’t believe it.”

Anna, who attends, Park Lane Primary and Nursery School, is also in no doubt about whether she would take a similar challenge again.

She added: “Yes of course I would because of how amazing it made me feel, not just for completing the walk but raising the money for charity too.”

Anna, Nina (39), husband Brett and Anna’s grandmother Sadguna all lived together before Sadguna passed away from a stroke in 2014,

Anna was very close to her grandmother who had looked after her a lot since birth, and her death hit Anna “very hard” said Brett.

He added: “We warned her it would be quite tough, but there was no moaning. She wanted to finish it.

“It was hard work and they were both struggling to walk for a couple of days afterwards, but Anna was just really pleased with the amount of money she raised.”
