Stand up to Trump event planned for Peterborough's Cathedral Square

A '˜Peterborough Stand up to Trump' event is expected to take place in Cathedral Square tonight (Monday, February 20).

An event posted on Facebook has the protest earmarked from 5.30pm to 7pm.

The event details states: “On the day that Parliament debates the state visit of Trump, the people of Peterborough are invited to say no to Trump’s racism, dislike of women and homophobia.

“We say the world should build bridges, not walls. Many other cities and towns are also having stand up to Trump protests. Bring banners and placards.”

The event is being hosted by People’s Republic of Peterborough.
