The sun was shining at this year’s Primary Schools Country Dancing Festival hosted by Peterborough School on Thursday, last week.

More than 20 primary schools from across Peterborough took part in the event which involved pupils of all ages, as well as their teachers, parents and friends.

This is the second year that the Peterborough School has hosted the event, having previously been hosted by Welbourne Primary School.

Amee Guy and Lesley McClarnon, who helped to organise the event said: “We were really lucky with the weather, it was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time.”

There was a live band on the day and the caller, Annette Dagless, who is the headteacher at Welbourne Primary School, led the children in their traditional country dances.
