The March 31 fundraiser - this time supporting the Alzheimer’s Society - will see the SolGarden playing classic funk, soul, rare groove, new jack swing, hip hop and house from the 70s to the early 90s.

In the Solstice Bar the vibe will be post-Gables R&B, acid jazz, garage to nu-soul and soulful souse, while the Eden Room will be a mash-up of beatz, dub, reggae and all things nice.

On the decks will be Rayan Gee, Eddie Nash, Mark Goodliff, Ian Pass, Stuart Skipworth & Owen Wonder and DJ Narnas plus guest DJs.

Graham says: “I started my charity gigs in April 2013. The plan was to bring friends together, create a great atmosphere and raise as much money/awareness for any given charity as possible. Since then the gigs have grown and become bigger and bigger. At the previous venue (The Brewery Tap) maximum capacity was reached for the very first time in their history.

“It became obvious that my next priority was to look for bigger premises. Thankfully The Solstice offered me their entire venue which I hope will accommodate the ever increasing crowds. I look forward to hosting my gigs at the Solstice and supporting numerous charities throughout the year. I’m also very grateful to have the backing of so many Deejays who are willing to give their time for these great causes. I believe this particular gig has one of the best all-local line-ups seen in Peterborough in years.

“Of course the gigs would be nothing without the crowds who come from far and wide, pay their donations and create nights which for many live long in the memory.”

“I’ll be raising money at this gig for the Alzheimer’s Society. The plan in future is to champion more locally based charities in or around Peterborough.”

Organising these gigs are often chaIlenging. Moving to the Solstice means I have an oportunity to be more creative and introduce fresh ideas. I hope in future to include live acts, more guest Deejays and perhaps an all-day gig. It’s also great to see other similar events happening in city. It seems like Peterborough has finally rediscovered it’s nightlife mojo. Hopefully good times lay ahead.”
