GCSEs 2008: Prince William School, Oundle

THERE were smiles all round at Prince William School in Oundle, with 66 per cent of pupils gaining five or more grade A* to Cs.
There were some stunning GCSE performances by individuals, including those who achieved seven or more A* grades.
Star pupils included Jordan Ward-Williams, who gained an incredible 10 A*s and one A and Christian Miles, who topped that with 10A*s and two As.
Headteacher Malcolm England said: "It is very pleasing to see such high achievement by pupils of all abilities and in the spirit of the current Olympics, we congratulate them all on their individual successes and personal best results.
"It is particularly encouraging to note that equal numbers of boys and girls attained the very highest A* and A grades with 10 pupils achieving every single GCSE grade at A* or A.
"The school has also just been informed that one of our pupils, Colin Turvey, was placed in the top 10 candidates out of nearly 7000 entries for this summer's Applied ICT AS examination."
