SPECIAL seasonal storytime sessions are being held at Orton Library in the run-up to Christmas to give children a festive treat.
Children from across the Ortons can attend their session at Peterborough City Council’s Orton Library, in Ortongate Centre, on Tuesday, December 18, from 10am to 10.30am.
The Christmas storytime sessions are presented with a seasonal twist and com
plement existing themed events the council’s libraries hold throughout the year.
Parents can help children make craft items with a Christmas theme in between storytimes and listening to Christmas rhymes.
The city council’s young people’s service librarian and bookstart co-ordinator Gill Khan said there would be a wide range of activities available.
She added: “The Christmas ones are that extra bit special, because it is a time of year children particularly look forward to.
“The sessions include making Christmas crafts, such as snowflakes, cotton wool snowmen and Christmas decorations, which the children can take home.
“Attending the sessions is a great way to enjoy quality family time where children can learn and have fun at the same time.”
