A CHRISTMAS fair is being held at an Orton Primary School next week.
Leighton Primary School, in Orton Malborne, is hosting the event on Saturday, December 6, from 10.30am onwards.
There will be a raft of entertainment on offer, including an auction from 1pm with such special goods as footballs and shirts signed by
Peterborough United stars.
Club wants more players
A NEW football club is looking for players in the Orton Malborne area.
Malborne Football Club, which is based at Leighton Primary School, is searching for boys and girls from years one to four to create new teams.
The teams will add to the two teams that already play in the Peterborough Junior Alliance League.
Training for children in years one and two is on Saturdays, from 9.30am to 10.45am, following by training for children in years three and four from 11am till 12.15pm.

Sale goods are on the table
A TABLE-TOP sale is being held next week at Herlington Community Centre, in Orton Malborne.
The sale, which takes place on Sunday, will run from 10am to 1pm.
There will be lots of stalls, including a tombola, refreshments, hand-made cards and much more.

Community centre to reopen
A REFURBISHED community centre will have its grand opening next week.
Orton Community Centre, in Orton Goldhay, recently underwent an £82,000 facelight, which has seen the installation of a new kitchen and disabled toilet.
The centre will be officially opened by ward councillor Pam Winslade on Monday.
A wild way to look at winter

Park Ranger Ashley Wheale is hosting the event on Wednesday, December 3, to reveal some interesting facts.
There will be an illustrated talk and then a walk around Ferry Meadows to identify some of its native trees.
nAnyone who is interested should meet at the Visitors’ Centre at 1.30pm.
