A ROUSING celebration of different cultures was held at an Orton Longueville school.
At the culmination of a week-long event to throw light on a clutch of countries around the world, pupils at St Botolph's Primary School in Orton Longueville took part in Indian dance workshops and African drumming.

Headteacher at St Botolph's Primary School in Orton Longueville, Jenny Daniels said: "For a whole week, the school was celebrating our differences.

"Each year group chose a different country. If they had a Polish child in their class for example, they picked that country. Then they did food-tasting, learned about the culture, the writing and learned the language. At the end of the week, they did Indian dancing and African drumming.

"All the children went through the workshops. It was fun, exciting and they experienced things they never had before."
