Peterborough Olympians: Gary Dighton: Cycling, Barcelona, 1992
ThE 24 year-old from Whittlesey finished 14th as part of Great Britain's 100k time trial team in Barcelona.
Dighton said: "I wasn't too downhearted. It wasn't a bad ride for me and I felt I did my bit. Just being selected was an achievement for me.
I never dreamed when I started out riding for the Fenland Clarion Club that I would become an Olympian."
