Two years after picking up a bow and arrow for the first time, Savory was in the British archery team competing for medals in Moscow.
Savory was a member of the Freestyle Club in Wisbech at the time and held fourth place in Moscow in the early stages.
He faded to finish 13th, but it was still a monumental achievement for a relative beginner.
