REALITY TV star Jade Goody watched in horror as a city woman attacked a boy band singer with a broken bottle, a court heard.
The Celebrity Big Brother star told a court how she saw hairdresser Zoe Sigorney 'glass' singer Jerome Simeon in a Hertfordshire nightclub.

The 22-year-old singer had been dancing with the controversial Essex celebrity just before the attack in Fe
bruary 2006, in which he suffered a six-inch neck wound.

Miss Goody (25) told a jury at St Albans Crown Court how she had seen "a rough-looking geezer bird" hit Mr Simeon over thehead with a beer bottle which broke – and then attack him with the broken remains.

Asked to describe Sigorney (28), from Crowland, Miss Goody said: "Her hair was bleach blonde. She was quite rough-looking – a bit of a geezer-bird. I just saw this big yellow hair."

She told how the attack started after she thought Mr Simeon had bumped into a man – Sigorney's husband, Wayne – who was wearing a pink shirt.

She said: "I see this girl come flying from one side of the room with something in her hand.

"This girl just hit him. He tried to run away. He fell to the floor and this girl continued to put it (the glass) down on him three or four times."

Jade, who was accused of racist bullying of Indian actress Shilpa Shetty on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, was later accused of lying to court publicity.

Defence lawyer Bill Emlyn Jones said: "My suggestion is you lied. It was at a time when you could have done with public sympathy.

But Jade said: "I didn't have to give a statement. It's not like at the time I was being called a racist.

"This happened over a year ago."

She said she came forward to help Mr Simeon, who is mixed race, because it was the right thing to do.

Sigorney denies wounding. The case continues.
