There are many residents who object to this but they are being ignored. These residents do not consider the proposals to be right or in keeping with the area. We believe that the loss of the car park will result in the loss of the shops. It is the intention to remove the canopies from above the shop fronts. The apartments above the shops have only one door and the council and Cross Keys appear prepared to ignore the safety of the residents to remove the only other exit via a window onto the canopies. They are also intent on making a smaller car park off Lutton Grove, which will take away green space and create traffic problems for the estate.
