A woman hit by a bus outside the Queensgate bus station has been taken to Peterborough City Hospital.

Ambulances were called to the bus station at 3.40pm today and the Magpas Helimedix team also attended by landing on the roof of the multi-storey car park.

The woman in her 20s was taken to hospital by land ambulance for further treatment and was said to be in a stable condition.

Officers put up police tape and remained in the area a couple of hours after the incident took place.
