The scene of collision in Dogsthorpe this afternoon

A motorcyclist has suffered potentially life threatening injuries in a collision in Dogsthorpe.

The crash, which involved the motorbike and a car, happened on Eastern Avenue, near the junction with Poplar Avenue, at 4.05pm today (Wednesday.)

Emergency services, including the Air Ambulance, are currently at the scene.

A Cambridgeshire police spokeswoman said: “The motorcyclist has suffered potentially life threatening injuries in the collision.”

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: “An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, Magpas and an ambulance officer attended and treated a man with serious injuries.

“He was flown to Addenbrookes’ Hospital for further care.”

Motorists are advised to avoid the area while emergency services are at the scene.

Witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
