Emergency services attend a two vehicle collision, involving a Vauxhall Astra estate and a Betta Cars taxi, on Fulbridge Road, near the junction with the A47 Soke Parkway

A car and a taxi were involved in a crash on Fulbridge Road near the junction with the A47 Soke Parkway this evening (Saturday, December 22).

At one stage three ambulances and a paramedic car were at the scene and several people are believed to have been injured in the collision.

A Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said they were called to the accident at around 5.30pm.

She said: “Nobody was trapped in the vehicles. We assisted ambulance crews with two people who were injured and two more people came forward with neck injuries.”

One of the vehicles involved was a taxi operated by the Betta Cars company the other was a Vauxhall Astra estate.

A police officer at the scene, Pc Dave Tudman, said they are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
