A motorcyclist suffered “life-changing” injuries after crashing into school railings in Spalding this morning (Monday).

A 22-year-old man riding a blue Suzuki 750 motorbike collided with metal railings in Hawthorn Bank at about 2.30am this morning.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “The rider of the bike is a 22 year-old man from Surfleet who has suffered serious life-changing injuries.

“He was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital and later transferred to the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.”

Officers are now investigating and calling on witnesses who saw the motorbike to call the Collision Witness Hotline on 01522 558855 or dial 101.
