A teenage girl was left with serious injuries after a hit and run incident in Whittlesey yesterday, Thursday January 14.

Police were called at 8.30am to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Eastgate near the zebra crossing.

The driver of the blue Audi A6 did not stop at the scene, but the vehicle was later recovered by police.

Police said that a 15-year-old girl received serious but not life threatening injuries as a result of the incident.

The driver of the Audi remains to be outstanding at this time.
