A woman was trapped under a car after a collision in Peterborough last night, Thursday, November 5.
Fire crews from Stanground and Dogsthorpe alongside police and the Magpas air ambulance were called to the Sainsbury’s car park in Oxney Road, Eastfield at 8.33pm.
The woman, who was in her 60s, was trapped under a Mitsubishi Colt and had to be released by fire crews using specialist equipment, including hydraulic air bags, to stabilise the vehicle.
Magpas doctor Steve Corry-Bass and Paramedic Ollie Robinson assessed the woman at the scene and provided the patient with pain relief, before accompanying her to Peterborough City Hospital by land ambulance.
On arrival at the hospital the woman was in a stable condition and she is not thought to have suffered serious injuries.
