A jackknifed lorry shut part of Fletton Parkway in Peterborough this morning, Friday November 20.

The road was shut westbound between junction 1 Orton Parkway and junction 3 Nene Parkway for more than five hours and reopened at around 1.30pm.

Cambridgeshire police said they were called at 7.57am to a collision involving two lorries at the A1260/A1139 Hampton Hargate.

A spokeswoman said there were suspected minor injuries and that the road had to be closed as the Highways Agency needed to jet wash it due to the quantity of fuel on road.
