UPDATE: Paston road to remain closed through Thursday morning rush hour after major emergency incident last night

Police have said a road in Peterborough will remain closed until after this morning’s rush hour after a very serious collision last night.

The crash in Topmoor Way prompted a huge emergency response from police, fire and ambulance crews as well as the air ambulance.

Details of what happened last night Wednesday May 3, at around 8pm are still sketchy, with the Peterborough Telegraph due to be briefed this morning by police.

However, officers say Topmoor Way will remain closed in both directions between the A47 and Paston Ridings until at least 9am and the rush hour has past as investigation work continues.
