A serious collision between a Stagecoach bus and two car has taken place in Peterborough this afternoon, Thursday March 3.

The crash has taken place at the junction of David’s Lane, Hodson Avenue and Goodwin Walk in Werrington.

Police were called at 2.37pm. Four people are believed to have been injured: three with minor injuries; one with serious, but not life threatening injuries.

Of those injured, a teenager is being treated for back pain, a female in her 30s, who was in one of the cars, is being treated for leg injuries, one person in their 20s is being treated for facial injuries, and an elderly female who was on the bus is also receiving medical care.

According to eyewitnesses the bus had around 20 schoolchildren from Ken Stimpson School on-board.

Emergency services, including fire and six medical teams, are on the scene.
