The event takes place in Abbots Ripton from Thursday July 21 and Sunday July 24. It is expected to be particularly busy on the opening day. Local facilities, including the supermarkets in Huntingdon, may also be busier than usual during this period.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary has been working closely with event organisers and the local authority to manage the event and minimise the impact it will have on the community.

Superintendent Laura Hunt said: “The safety of people, both going to the festival and local residents, is our number one priority. However, we will not tolerate the behaviour of those who choose to use the event as an excuse to commit crime.

“We have been in regular contact with the festival organisers and the local authority to thoroughly plan our approach to policing the event. We will have extra officers on duty to ensure the festival does not impact on our ability to police the local area. I believe this and other key decisions will mean the event runs smoothly and causes minimum amount of disruption to the community.”
