A six car collision blocked the A14 in Cambridgeshire this afternoon, Friday March 24.

The crash took place between junction 27 for Fenstanton and junction 26 for Cambridge Services on the Eastbound carriageway.

There were long delays eastbound back to Godmanchester and also on the westbound carriageway back to Cambridge and the M11 as drivers slow to look at the scene.

Police, fire and ambulance attended following the crash, which took place at 1.10pm.

The East of England Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and a rapid response unit to the scene and treated one patient, thought to be a woman in her 20s, for back pain.

She has been taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

No further injuries are reported.

The road has now been cleared although residual delays remain.
