TWO women escaped injury after the car they were travelling in spun off a road and ended up in a ditch.
It is thought that the wet weather conditions may have caused the incident which happened in Oil Mills Road, in Ramsey Mereside, near Peterborough, at 12.26pm yesterday.
Ambulance crews attended and found a car lying in a ditch by the side of the road.
The two women inside the car, one aged in their early 20s and the other in their late 20s, were examined by paramedics who found no injuries and discharged the pair at the scene.
A spokeswoman for the Magpas emergency medical service, said: “The car spun off the road and did a 180 degree turn before ending up in a ditch. The wet weather could have caused the car to come off the road, but it’s not clear exactly what happened.
“The car was badly damaged but fortunately the two women inside were not hurt, they may have been lucky.”
