Motorist from Chatteris is named as the victim of a fatal road accident

A motorist who died in a road accident has been named as a Chatteris man.

Police say the driver killed was Roland James Carson, known to his friends and family as James.

Mr Carson was 25-years-old and lived at Augustus Way, in Chatteris,

He suffered fatal head injuries after the car he was driving, a black BMW 320, overturned after it left the road and collided with a tree.

The accident occurred on the B1050 between Chatteris and Somersham at 7.15am today (Friday).

Sergeant Chris Clare said: “This is a tragic incident and I’m appealing for people to come forward with information in order for us to establish what exactly happened.”
