A failure of the gates at the King’s Dyke Level Crossing led to the A605 being shut between Peterborough and Whittlesey this afternoon, Monday August 1.

Engineers attended the scene to fix the problem but the road was temporarily shut in both directions.

Delays built up in the area but have now cleared after the gates were fixed at around 4.30pm.
