Police arrest man after road crash

A MOTORIST was arrested after a collision involving a van and a car for allegedly drinking and driving.

Police took a 51-year-old man to Thorpe Wood Police Station for questioning after the crash, which occurred at about 8.50am.

A Mercedes van and Ford Focus collided on the A47 between the A1 and A43.

It is understood that no one was hurt. The road was closed for about an hour.
