New plans drawn up to strengthen bridge

A SCHEME to strengthen a viaduct that carries the A14 road over the main railway in Huntingdon has been announced by the Highways Agency.

Design work will be carried out this year with a view to the work, which will involve installing steel beams and strengthening the bridge deck, being carried out during next year. The A14 is used by 77,000 motorists each year.
