TV talent show winner Jermain Jackman performed his latest single to Peterborough students last week.

Jermain, who won The Voice 2014, paid a visit to The Voyager Academy on Tuesday (February 24) to talk about his work as an ambassador for the National Citizen Service (NCS).

Jermain (19) spoke to Year 11 and 12 students about his first-hand experiences on NCS and encouraged others to sign-up, before performing his new song ‘How Will I Know.’

NCS, which is delivered by Peterborough City Council, gives young people the opportunity to learn new skills and build their confidence.

Jermain credits NCS with giving him the confidence to perform live in front of an audience.

He said: “The last few years have been an incredible journey for me and I wanted to be able to share some of these experiences with students at The Voyager Academy who are looking ahead to their own futures.”

Heidi Latronico, coordinator at the academy, said: “We were delighted to welcome Jermain.

“The students loved his performance and were really interested to hear about his experiences with the National Citizen Service.

Peterborough residents are currently looking to follow in Jermain’s footsteps.

Singing twins Hannah and Naomi Moxon, from Longthorpe, and Vanessa Hunt, from Wisbech, are taking part in the current edition of The Voice.

“The last few years have been an incredible journey for me and I wanted to be able to share some of these experiences.”

Vanessa is being mentored by singer Rita Ora.
