A Stamford business hopes to raise £20,000 for charity through an auction - which finally closes on Sunday, 7 December.

Trinity Events Solutions has been holding an online auction to raise money for the Children’s Air Ambulance, Hospital at Home and the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice.

Director of operations Jenny Harding said upon the auction’s launch back in October: “We wanted to make a bigger contribution and impact for charities rather than doing ad-hoc things.

“We did it last year and it was a great success. We raised £20,840 and we want to do exactly the same this year.”

Prizes up for grabs include a weekend away for two to Monaco, a two night relaxation holiday in the Welsh countryside and theatre trip for two to London with accommodation.

Jenny added: “We have bought and paid for the charity auction website ourselves, so all the money raised will go directly to the charities.

“So far we have auctioned 100 prizes and nearly all of them have gone. We have got at least another 50 to go, but we are still approaching hotels and even small businesses.”

The auction will run like an eBay-style bidding poll and anyone can take part.

Jenny said: “Having been involved last year and seen the difference it makes to the charities, I think it’s fantastic.

“Last year we were able to buy Rutland Sailability a boat.”
