Nene Park Academy has relaunched its onsite gym and fitness facilities to provide even more sport and leisure opportunities for the community.

The state-of-the-art facilities, which include a professionally-fitted gym, dance studio, sports hall and 3G pitches, will continue to be used solely by Nene Park Academy, in Oundle Road, Peterborough, during the day, and then be opened up to the local community on weekday evenings and weekend mornings.

Steve Howard, principal at Nene Park Academy, said: “After three years supporting the contract with Rech@rge we have now decided to keep management in house.

“We have wanted these excellent facilities to be of full benefit to the school and local community ever since they opened in 2012.

“I am pleased to say this has been the case and now we want to widen the appeal to all age groups.

“The usual classes will continue to run and we will aim to bring in a broader range of classes.

“A lot of groups have successfully set up classes and we hope more will continue to do so.”

Nene Park Academy Sport and Leisure will be open to the public and available for use or hire from 5pm to 10pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am to 12noon from Saturday and Sunday.

Current classes running at the centre include spinning, aerobox and pilates.

An introductory offer of one month’s free gym membership is available to new members (limited availability). Nene Park Academy Sport and Leisure’s monthly membership for use of the gym costs £15.

A one off gym session costs £4.
