Friday 3.40pm: Police investigating a fatal road collision in Langtoft will close King Street in the village this evening (Friday) to carry out a reconstruction of the incident.
Lincolnshire Police Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision which took place on the November 17 2014. The crash involved a red McCormick tractor and a white Mitsubishi saloon car. Harriet Dearing (82) of Stamford, a passenger in the Mitsubishi, died at Peterborough City Hospital as a result of her injuries on December 1.
A Lincolnshire police spokesman said: “King Street will be closed this afternoon between 3pm and 4pm and this evening between 6:30pm and 8pm whilst a reconstruction of the circumstances of the collision is carried out.
“It is therefore an area to avoid for road users during those periods. The investigating officers can accommodate residents and businesses on King Street and they should approach officers at the closure points who will allow them through. No access will be allowed for other road users.”
