Staff and pupils at Longthorpe Primary School enjoyed a day of tasting delicious foods from around the world as part of a World Bake Off event.
On Monday, last week the School Council arranged the event to mark European Local Democracy Week, with the theme of ‘living together in multicultural societies’.
The event involved parents bringing in food dishes from their different cultures to share with their child’s class.
All of the dishes were sampled and a selection will be made in to a ‘world cookbook’. This will then be sent home with all parents so that they can have a go at making dishes from other countries.
Pupils had the opportunity to taste a wide variety of food from countries such as Jamaica, England, Slovakia, Pakistan, India and Nigeria.
