The 2015/16 budget for Peterborough City Councillor has been agreed with £25 million to be saved.

Last night (Wednesday March 4) saw the second and final set of budget proposals passed by members of the full council.

The savings were worth over £8 million and followed on from December last year when councillors voted on the first set of budget proposals which accounted for more than £16 million in reducing the deficit.

Councillors were forced to have their vote on the budget proposals recorded.

The vote saw 30 in favour, 10 against and 10 abstaining.
